Apple for the most part are almost always known for their impeccable industrial design in all of their devices. Occasionally you'll find a device that takes the shine away from Apple in design and performance that device is Dell's own XPS 13 laptop. The XPS 13 rivals that of the Macbook Air in both design and high performance, arguably sweetest looking laptop on the market this year thus far. Dell debut the 2015 version XPS 13 at CES last month,in fact,I had this laptop listed as the most impressive pieces of tech to come out of CES 2015.
Aside from the pretty impressive hardware that's within which will get to in a few,its the design on the Dell XPS 13 is what makes the laptop such eye candy. It has a 5.2mm bezel making it the thinnest bezel on any laptop on the market. The XPS 13 is basically a 13-inch display in a chassis of a 11-inch notebook. It also has a nice matte black finish with gorgeous LED back lit keyboard.
Hello, World!
Usually when you have tech devices with impeccable design, the hardware falls short of being impressive, not the case with the XPS 13. It sports the latest just launched Intel 5th generation processor,Broadwell-U. The low-end based version sports a Intel Core i3-5010U processor ,consumers can upgrade as a option to a Core 15-5200u or a i7-5500u,as for the storage, with the low-end version you get 128GB worth of storage with an option 256GB and 512GB, the storage drive by the way is solid state. For the memory, you get a dual-channel 4GB DDR3L-RS-1600 RAM, with the high end model you get extra RAM at 8GB.
If you want a high pixel density Dell XPS 13 with touch, sadly you'll have to purchase the Core i5 version to enjoy the touchscreen feature. It has a 3200 x 1800 resolution IGZO panel, the lower base version is 1920 x 1080 IPS display ( non-touch) with 165 pixels per inch.
It seems Windows based computers like the Surface Pro 3 and now the Dell XPS 13 have what everyone wants, and that's superior design that encases superior hardware. Its no wonder why it got voted for the best innovation award CES 2015.
Would you get the Dell XPS 13? It is the most talked about laptop so far in 2015. Drop your comment in the box,let me know what you think.
