Phanteks Unveils The Glacier G2080Ti and G2080 That Illuminates

It’s not out the realm of possibility for third-party GPU cooling manufacturers to unveil a slew of products right after a flagship launch of any graphics cards, which is what NVIDIA had done a few weeks back when they raised the curtains and revealed their RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. Phanteks a company that's heavily involved in computer hardware and other accessories has just launched their brand new Glacier G2080Ti and G2080 water-blocks.

In looking at this cooling apparatus, its designed for the enthusiast system builder, and gamers looking to push their new NVIDIA RTX graphic cards passed its performance boundaries. The G2080Ti is a full cover water-block who's optimized central channel structure, fully complete with a 6mm thick nickel-plated copper base explicitly made for efficient heat exchange. The entire block is tightly-sealed with VITON O-RINGS, which are the leaders in the industry.

Let's examine the DuPont Viton rubber washer; it seals the entire Glacier G2080 water-block, the military grade hardware is capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures. The Viton rubber washer seal is also rugged enough to resist any forms of damage during installation as well as retain form after being compressed for an extended period.

The actual Phanteks Glacier Valve fittings can easily maintain an entire water-cooling setup with fitting rings. The new glacier valve fittings allow any system builders to close off water-loop and perform any needed maintenance without having to drain the whole system.

As I mentioned in the title of this post, these water-blocks illuminates, that's because Glacier offers digital addressable RGB lighting, which is also compatible with ASUS Aura SYNC and Phanteks Digital RGB controller, sold separately.

Your water-block color scheme choices are Satin Black and Mirror Chrome with D-RGB lighting. Preorders are now being accepted only at the UK Overclockers for £139.99. No word on when it will hit the US market.
