Samsung Unveils Their Enormous Odyssey G9 49-inch OLED Gaming Monitor

It's quite the norm to have companies like Samsung launch product days ahead of CES, which is what they have done. They are showing out big by launching their new enormous curved 49-inch Oydessy G9 QLED gaming monitor. Though I'm not a big fan of curved displays, the specs Samsung is offering is quite impressive.

The 1000R curvature design should be enough to impress any gamer techie who's looking for the visual punch. But what stands out to me, the Odyssey G9 has a glowing orb-like protrusion in the back that plugs directly into the monitor — giving you that science-fiction feel. The orb provides full support for infinity Core Lighting offering 52 colors across five operating modes.

Though Samsung has not made an official announcement on price or launch date, they did state the Odyssey G9 will be readily available during the second quarter of 2020.
