Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro Leak Featuring Active Noise Cancellation and More
We have a confirmed leak from Samsung. Yes, I said Samsung because even though the company won't admit it, product leaks are a concerted effort to boost consumer anticipation, but I digress. The latest leak that created some buzz is the Galaxy Buds Pro, rumored to be released alongside the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and S21 Ultra in early 2021. I might add the Galaxy S21 has also been subjected to recent leaks on the internet.
Let us get into the specifics, shall we? Details of the new Galaxy Buds Pro come courtesy of the Galaxy Wearable app, which I'm assuming made an accidental early appearance in the official Galaxy Store. The app includes actual renders of the Galaxy Buds Pro, displaying the following color options: black, violet, and silver. Like the last-gen model, the Galaxy Buds Pro will come with a carrying case, charging made possible with a USB-C cable or Qi wireless.
The leak reveals several exciting features, starting with voice detection, which will sense when users engage in conversation, lowering the music's volume through the earbuds. This feature will automatically turn on the audio pass-through feature ( in active noise cancellation mode) so users can talk with someone, all while still listening to the current audio track. You can set a custom timeout of 5, 10, or 15 seconds.
The most standout feature with the Galaxy Buds Pro is a two setting (low or high) active noise cancellation to customize the listening experience. You also can adjust the volume of each earbud independently.
Most high-end earphones on the market that have noise cancellation feature Spatial Audio. The Galaxy Buds Pro has what Samsung calls 3D Spatial Audio. This new feature, according to Samsung, will allow you to "Hear Vivid, immersive sound coming from all directions, so you feel like you're right in the scene when you watch videos." The feature will use head tracking to change the sound's direction based on head positioning, a similar feature found in Apple's AirPods Pro. Regarding Galaxy Buds Pro, it will only be available with Samsung devices operating Android 11 with One UI.
As of yet, there is no set retail price, but according to published reports I've read on the internet, it will cost $269, which is understandable considering the added features.
