Let me introduce you to the Google’s new Nest smart speaker

Google has made it official there will be a Nest-branded smart speaker. The company posted images of the device on the internet—the same picture you see displayed above this post.

According to reports the speaker will come in a variety of colors other than the gray color scheme you see in the image. You can see additional colors in the video below this post. Interestingly, this video was produced and sent by Google.

The speaker design has an all cloth texture, with four lights on the front, matching the Nest Mini/Google Home Mini and Google Home Max. So it seems as if we may be seeing Google fade out their signature hard plastic, twelve lights product line. In the very back of the Home Nest, you'll find a DC connector for power, a "G" logo, and a mute switch. Other than that, there are no other new standout features on the device.

Published reports mention that the speaker will support stereo pairing, featured in the Google Home Max. It seems there is no planned launch date, but if you've been paying close attention to the tech news-front, the Pixel 4a and Android TV dongle code name "Sabrina" are rumored devices expected to hit the market later this year.

Stay tuned as the story develops.
