Sony to hold the PS5 event on Wednesday September 16th
Coming to a stream near you, Sony will be holding a special PlayStation event this upcoming week. The company plan on broadcasting a 40-minute video "digital showcase" scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th. It will include several updates such as first-party Sony game studio and third-party partners. The event's central theme quote: "one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch" before the console's actual launch.
As you know, Microsoft this past week announced its Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X due to the Xbox Series S leak that includes price, which is $299. Sony did open up pre-registration for the PS5 for preorders last month. A clear indication Sony will soon fully showcase the console.
I expect Sony to reveal the price of the PS5 on Wednesday because Microsoft will begin Xbox preorders on September 22nd. The Xbox Series price point is $499.
