These FCC photos shows how big the PS5 really is

There is no doubt the PS5 is an enormous gaming console, the biggest of its kind ever produced. Dwarfing Microsoft's Xbox Series consoles. But if you observe photos from the FCC, it is clear the PS5 will be a challenge trying to situate it alongside your home theater setup; I mean, look how big it is. Interestingly enough, it appears users can vertically stand the console on both sides.

The photo paints a broad picture of how big the PS5 is compared to other consoles currently on the market. Even bigger than past consoles such as the first generation PS3. Sony did provide official dimensions during the PS5 event but didn't offer any specific base measurements.

Judging from the FCC photos, there seems to be no easy access slot for the NVMe upgrade in the PS5 console. According to Sony, users can now expand storage, but we're not provided full details on exactly how to achieve such a task. Sony did offer a teaser that the PS5 hardware is customizable, something you couldn't achieve with past consoles. I'm speculating that both sides of the panel are removable.

Just a reminder, Sony will be launching the PS5 in the US on November 12th, priced point at $499.99, for the digital-only version, $399.99. The actual PS5 games will cost $69.99.
