G. Skill Has Announced New Dual Chamber ITX Tempered Glass PC Case
G.Skill, known for manufacturing RAM, just announced its first PC case, the Z5i, a Mini-ITX enclosure featuring dual tempered glass side panels with a vertical form factor. Though the PC chassis is revealed to be a Mini-ITX form factor, internally, there is enough room for a full-size RTX 3090 graphic card.
What G. Skills is presenting to its PC enthusiast is a case that features a unique layout and a conventional design. It has a dual-chamber design, with one chamber holds a Mini-ITX motherboard and SFX PSU, while the other is dedicated to a discrete graphics card. The angle tempered glass panel is situated on both sides that are 4mm thick. Both panels swing open like doors and can effortlessly be taken off their hinges in an upward motion. The overall structure of the case is made out of brushed aluminum. The front panel consists of the standard I/O setup with dual USB 3.0 ports and a single 3.1 Type-C port.
The cooling setup is rather interesting; two 140mm intake mounts are made explicitly for 140mm fans or a single 280mm radiator for cooling. The case features a triangular aluminum hole for intake airflow. Like most PC cases on the market, the G. Skills ITX mini chassis also has a whole mesh opening, allowing for an upward flow of hot air.
The Z5i case has three slots for SSDs or smaller HDDs. The first two are located right behind the intake fans and situated directly between the dual chambers; the final drive slot is located within the graphics card chamber.
Fans of RGB lighting would be glad to know the case includes an RGB illuminated G.Skill logo, an RGB lightbar that bounces light directly off the floor or desk.
