So There Actually is a 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Graphics Card After All

Last year when Nvidia unveiled their RTX 3080 Ti that featured 12GB of GDDR6X memory, I was astonished that any graphic can cross the 8GB barrier. But now there are rumors of a 20GB graphics card.

Does a 20GB graphics card really exist? Well, according to the latest reports, it does. It seems someone from Russia has gained access to a Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming 20G, which manage to hit the retail market. The retailer that sold the graphics card is located in St. Petersburg, Russia, priced at 225,000 rubles (3,000 USD). It’s worth noting, the standard edition GeForce RTX 3080 Ti retails for $1,199.

There are some glaring differences between the standard edition RTX 3080 Ti and Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC. For starters, despite having more memory, the card bandwidth peaks at just a 320-bit memory interface compared to 384-bits.

Interestingly, the Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC 20G is not officially launched to the consumer market; currently, NVIDIA has no driver support. So right now, the only purpose this graphic card will serve is for Ethereum mining.

The RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC 20C doesn't feature a cryptocurrency limiter which is what you currently have with most NVIDIA graphics cards, better known as the Light Hash Rate. The 20GB card will likely have an ETH hash rate of 94.04 MH/s compared to the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, which is limited to 60 MH/s Light Hash Rate.

The RTX 3080 Gaming OC 20C card currently has no compatible drivers, so that we won't see any online benchmark numbers any time soon. However, Crypto miners will undoubtedly benefit greatly from using this graphics card.
