AMD Launched seven new Ryzen Zen 2 and Zen 3 processors, here what you need to know
AMD hasn't made any significant announcements regarding their CPU line for the past couple of months until now. Instead, the company has announced seven new processors based entirely on the Zen 2 and Zen 3 architecture. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is the top-tier flagship, embedded with an updated 3D V-Cache Technology. Pricing will start at $99 for the Ryzen 3 4100 four-core eight-thread CPU, going up to $449 for the top-tier processor ( the 5800X 3D). So many praises from PC enthusiasts for Intel's 12th generation lineup, AMD's announcement couldn't have come at a better time, ramping up the competitive rivalry. With that said, here's everything you need to know about AMD's newly launched processor
AMD launches its new processors across the Ryzen 3, 5, and 7 product line. Starting with the low-end option, we have the Ryzen 3 4100. A Zen 2 architecture processor that has four operational cores and eight threads. The Core clock speed is 3.8GHz with a 4GHz boost clock, with a 6MB cache. The downside with this particular processor is it does not support PCIe Gen 4 and is locked in with PCIe 3.0.
Next up, we have the Ryzen 5 4500, six cores, and 12-thread, with the same core and thread count as the Ryzen 4600G, with built-in Radeon graphics. With the Zen 3 lineup, you have a six-core 12 thread Ryzen 5 5500 processor; like its sibling, it is also locked in with Gen 3 PCIe 3.0. With Ryzen 5 5600, it supports PCIe 4.0, having six cores and 16 threads, priced at $199.
Closing this lineup is the Ryzen 7 5700X processor, having eight-cores 16-thread. I would consider this a power user processor priced at $299. The high-end premium 5800X 3D retail price is $449. The most significant featured selling point is the all-new 3D V-Cache Technology; AMD claims you will get "15% more gaming performance without stacked cache technology." If paired with the right graphics card, this processor can easily handle 4K gaming.
The expected release date for the new Ryzen Zen 2 and Zen 3 processors will begin on April 4th.
