What's in my shopping cart series Presents: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

Suppose you're in the process of building another gaming PC but not sure what components to purchase while being on a set budget. Let the folks at Tekspecz recommend the best hardware for your PC build. We're creating a new "what's in my shopping cart" series which will be ongoing until we have all the components needed for the PC build. Think of it as a glorified shopping guide.

We kick this series off with a CPU, the AMD Ryzen 9 5600X. Most would agree this probably is one of the best bangs for your buck processor on the consumer market, retailing for just $229 on Amazon.

I pick the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor to go into the shopping cart because it's AMD's fastest processor tailored-made for any mainstream gaming, with six cores and 12 processing threads. In addition, this CPU is quite capable (according to AMD) of delivering 100-Plus FPS gaming performance. Regarding processing clock speed, you get up to 4.6GHz Max boost.

If you're wondering, the Ryzen 9 5900X is unlocked for anyone who wants to overclock. The processor does support DDR4 type memory, and importantly, it supports the PCIe 4.0 on x570 and B550 motherboards.

FPS: is an acronym for Frames Per Second, is a frequency rate at which consecutive images are captured or displayed

In our next installment of "What's in my shopping cart?" My motherboard pick.
