Does a RTX 4070 With Five Cooling Fans Exist? Yes it Does, Lets Talk About It
If I told you that an RTX 4070 graphics card with five cooling fans exists, you wouldn't believe me, but it does exist. MaxSun has just unveiled their new GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC12G S0 aftermarket variant, packing an astounding five fans. This abundant amount of fans will undoubtedly keep a toasty GPU nice and cool.
Ironically, the GeForce 4070 draws just a TDP of 200 watts of power, which is very low compared to the GeForce RTX 4090, which has a 450-watt TDP. The highly efficient GPU already stays cool even under heavy usage. So, five cooling fans are excessive. But a graphics card with five fans would be great for the Overclock enthusiasts, allowing them to maximize the AD104 GeForce RTX 4070 during the extreme rigors of gaming.
The makeup of the cooling setup is unique, with the traditional three cooling fans on the bottom of the GPU, but there are two extra small fans in the upper portion of the enclosed case. Now, what's a unique cooling arrangement without RGB lighting? Which the MaxSun RTX 4070 graphics card has. Its very over-the-top RGB lighting resembles the bright city lights of Tokyo. The enclosed case design that seats the graphics card has nice, smooth, curved edges with an all-gray color scheme.
Extra fans will stabilize the temperature inside the GPU. However, the fans appear small, which can make a lot of noise when spun rapidly.
MaxSun is a China-based manufacturer. You likely won't see the Five Fan RTX 4070 in other markets worldwide, at least for now.
