Rumor has it there will be a RTX 40 Super Series graphics card
According to rumored reports, Nvidia is set to release RTX 40 Super Series graphics cards, the 4070, 4070Ti, and 4080. Even rumors suggest Nvidia will reveal details about the Super Series RTX 40 during the upcoming CES 2024 on January 8th. The reveal dates are listed below this paragraph.
No big deal, right, wrong. We not only have rumored reveal dates but there are reports of RTX 40 SUPER series listed specifications. Starting with the RTX 4070 SUPER will come with an AD104 GPU featuring 7168 CUDA cores. The memory capacity is expected to remain the same, at 12GB. Adding more to rumors is this particular graphics card is expected to have a high power consumption compared to THE RTX 4070, having a TDP of 225W.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will have an AD103 with a higher memory capacity of 16GB. Like the RTX 4070 Ti, the SUPER variant will retain 285W TDP.
The fastest of the three graphics cards is RTX 4080 Super, which is expected to fully use its AD103 GPU with 10240 CUDA cores, retaining its 16GB memory and a higher power consumption at 320W TDP. There are also reports that the RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070Ti will replace existing SKUs.
Industry insiders have speculated that all the RTX 40 SUPER cards will be incorporated with the 12VHPWR connector, entirely replacing the 8-pin connectors.
It's worth noting that these are just rumors, so take it for whatever it’s worth. However, since this is a hot topic within the PC hardware space, I expect Nvidia to make an announcement soon. Stay tuned.
