Its official: Sony Reveals the Q handheld, with an 8-inch display, streams PS5 games
It wasn't too long ago there were published rumors of an upcoming handheld device from Sony. However, there was some uncertainty if the device would ever exist. Well, I'm here to say, the device will exist. Sony just announced their new handheld device that will make it simple for users to play PS5 games, the name of the device is Project Q. Features include a sleek-looking Dual-sense PlayStation controller attached to an 8-inch high-definition screen. But there is a caveat. It's an exclusive WiFi device that screen captures games from the PS5.
As you know, this device ( Project Q) is not the first from Sony. Remember the PlayStation Vita? Least released 11 years ago, in 2012. The device will have an LCD screen that will run games at up to 1080p at 60fps over WiFi, as told by Sony.
The users' gaming experience is via Remote Play, which streams content directly from the PS5 console. Believe it or not, the Remote Play feature has been around since the days of PSP. The feature also will allow you to stream games on a PS4 or PS5 and even a mobile device or PC. A physical device was on hand at Sony's PlayStation showcase, which looks like an elongated Dual Sense controller attached to a smartphone. From a design perspective, Project Q is sleek and looks like it will feel comfortable in the hands.
Sony also revealed upcoming earbuds compatible with the PS5 and PC. In addition, the earbuds will also function with the latest smartphone via Bluetooth.
Sony has not disclosed information regarding the price of Project Q and earbuds. Nor do we have a release date. Stay tuned for upcoming information
