Windows 11 Update are Causing BSODs. Here's what you need to know

Here's what you need to know about the latest Windows 11 update. It's causing a bevy of blue screens of death. Along with the BSOD, there is a stop code of" unsupported processor" on some MSI motherboard-based PC systems. According to reports, Microsoft swiftly acknowledged this issue and stopped sending the KB5029351 update.

MSI has stated the cause is traced to the company's recent BIOS update preparing for Intel's upcoming 14th Gen desktop processors, codename Raptor Lake-S Refresh. Recently, MSI released several updates for the Z690 and Z790 motherboards that will support the next-generation CPU. According to MSI, the temporary fix is to roll back the BIOS updates. Another suggestive fix is to allow the system to reboot automatically several times once the BSOD error occurs. This will cause Windows update to uninstall automatically and eradicate the problem.

Personally, I would set Windows 11 OS not automatically to update and choose which updates to install. Avoid the Windows 11 update, marked as "KB5029351.'

Hopefully, Microsoft will address this issue soon so that more systems aren't affected. However, whenever problems with an operating system arise on a global scale, you can expect an immediate patch update.
