I certainly had no idea that Pebble are in the amidst of releasing another smartwatch, which by the way is the Pebble Time Round. Wasn't to long ago Pebble Time steel, which was in August to be exact. The overall design of the new smartwatch is something I never expected from Pebble.
Pebble is straying away from their signature rectangular design which has been their main staple across all their past and present smartwatches. Pebble Time has a nice round circular design much like what you see with the Moto 360 . At just 7.5mm thick, this makes it the thinnest watch build ever produced by Pebble, and quite possibly the thinnest on the on the overall market.
In full description of the watch. The Time Round is made of all metal, with a 38.5mm face, the entire screen is surrounded by a large bezel, this of course makes the display look smaller than what it really is.
Pebble Time Round will run a low power color LCD, same as the Pebble Time Steel, and will keep the same software.
Instead of just going with a one size fits all watch band, Pebble is offering two band size options, 20mm and 14mm appealing to both sexes, male and female. The 14mm version will have a nice rose gold finish, while the silver and black finish will be for the larger watch band.
The Pebble smartwatch has always been known for having an extended battery life that lasts for 7 days. With the new Time Round and its total revamp in design, battery life gets sacrifice down to just two days of full charge. To compensate,Pebble includes a quick charge battery that gets 24 hours of use with just 15 minutes on the charger. Also sacrificed is watch ability to be fully resistance to water, this means it can't take being submerged underwater.
You want the Time Round,it'll cost you $250 and is now available for pre-order, Pebble will begin shipping to North America buyers in November.
