The Asus Zen books by far are one of my favorite Windows based laptops. They bring to the table everything I look for that falls in the category of being impeccable, superior design, gorgeous displays combine with great hardware. The new incarnation of the Zenbook 3, the UX3901UA to be exact, falls right in that category, impeccable category that is. If you look at the images I've posted in this article courtesy of KitGuru, you can't help not to gaze at this thinly compact construct without reading article. At its thickest point its just 11.9mm, the edges I would say is sharply rounded, the entire laptop itself is encased in a metallic brush finish with bright yellow trimming on its edges.
Zenbook 3 is not just appealing eye candy, there is some decent hardware within, starting with the latest Kaby Lake Intel Core i5-7200U processor, HD 620 as its graphics chip, 8GB LPDDR3-2133 and 512GB M.2 SATA SSD. Though display is 12.5" which is standard size for most laptops, there is no discrete graphics card, which explains the 1080p resolution.
When you have such a thin laptop like that of the ZenBook 3, almost always expect certain features to be subtracted. Case in point, it minuses a Ethernet jack and minuses a USB type A port, that equals to only one single USB Type C port which is the same port use to charge the device.
Asus ZenBook 3 asking price is a whopping $1,400 which is crazy considering it lack some very important features and its display is just 1080 though. If you're into devices that's well designed and the ZenBook 3 is that, well design, then this laptop is definitely for you.
