Topic: Leaks
Lofty trend here, you'll always see leaked images and specs with smartphones when launch dates inch close and closer, no matter if it's the iPhone, Galaxy, or even LG, the Internet will get flooded with images of the pending device. My speculation is its a tactical marketing ploy brought on by the manufacturer, but digress.
The latest such leaks that's making noise on the Internet, courtesy of Slash Leaks we now have crystal clear images of what looks to be the new Galaxy S8 and 8-Plus, both devices placed side by side. The Galaxy S8 is expected to come in two sizes : one variant will have 5.7-inch display, while the other will have a 6.2-inch display which will be the S8-Plus edition. If you look at the images closely, it appears both models will have the curved displays, dismissing rumors that Samsung will ditch the curved display altogether.
Catching my eye with both these models is the extremely thin bezel, almost appearing as though there is no bezel at all. Both displays on these models are massive and longer with a 18:9 aspect ratio. Another feature of interest is the absence of the physical home button, the actual button itself will be software base. That's right, no more click clacking of the home button.
In looking at the leaked images of the smartphone from various angles, included are a headphone jack ( thank god for that), USB Type-C port, a SIM and microSD slot that's placed directly above the device. Displayed on the very top of the Galaxy S8 are a dual-front facing camera.
Samsung will make it all come to fruition on March 29th in NYC when as expected they will unveil Galaxy S8 and S8-plus.
