Apple Will Launch The Noise Cancellation AirPod Pro

Apple Will Launch The Noise Cancellation AirPod Pro

I don't think anyone saw this coming, well, at least I didn't. The long-rumored noise-canceling AirPod Pro will finally come to fruition. No October product event is needed as Apple made their announcement via press release. These are premium earbuds; the price indeed dictates that at $249 and will be released on October 30th. Pre-orders for the AirPod Pro is now available.

So what we have here in regards to features on the AirPods Pro are built-in microphones that can detect external sound and then cancel it out. A similar noise cancellation feature found in the Beats Solo Pro, which was released by Apple a few months back. Apple states that noise cancellation can adjust up to 200 times per second.

The new AirPods Pro also features a transparency mode that will let users hear their surroundings while wearing the earbuds. The same feature found on several earbuds on the market call ambient sound. The earbuds have what's called a "force sensor" that anyone can use to control music playback and activate transparency mode.

As any company would that manufactures audio headsets, Apple promises fantastic sound quality from the AirPods Pro; for a $249 price point, it should. There's one feature that caught my interest, and that is "Adaptive EQ," which automatically tunes music to shape the user's ears.

The AirPods Pro differs from the current models; there will now come with flexible ears tips for more secure and sealed in-ear fit. As you know Flexible ear tips help seal outside sound. There will be three size silicone tips included in the package. According to Apple, they will also include a software audio test that will inform users if the right sized tip is chosen by measuring the sound level in the ear and compare it to what's coming out of the speaker driver.

On the battery front, like the second-gen AirPods, the AirPod Pro will support wireless charging. According to Apple, users will get up to 4.5 hours of continuous playback. By switching to active noise cancellation does use excessive power so that playback hours will decrease. But you are provided with an extra 24-hours of battery power with the case.

Even though there is no listed protection rating, the AirPods Pro are sweat and water-resistant. As a bonus, Apple includes an expanded mesh microphone port that will add more call clarity when users are in windy environments. The AirPods still charge via Lightning connector, but Apple includes a Lightning to USB-C cable.

The new Apple AirPod Pro will undoubtedly compete with the likes of Sony, Amazon, and Samsung. With the noise cancellation feature and $249 price, the AirPod Pro is a direct rival to Sony's 1000X M3 earbuds, which cost $20 less and has generated positive reviews from many audio enthusiasts. Will the AirPod Pro have impeccable sound quality like their Sony rival? We'll see once the earbuds hit the market. Let the reviews begin.
