Western Digital has an exciting piece of hardware coming down the pipe, unveiling the new WD_Black G2 controller; the SN850 posting speeds of up to 7000 MB/s read and 5300MB/s write, with a storage capacity exceeding up to 1TB. I might add this particular Gen3 model is compatible with PCI Express 4.0, which explains why the drive has a blazing read/write speeds. Before we go on, here's a word from the company;

That's just a few quotes from Western Digital. When is the storage drive available to consumers? The WD_Black SN850 NVMe SSD ( No-heatsink) is expected make its market presence in the end of October 2020, which is this month. The heatsink variant will land in the market in Q1 2021. The announced WD_Black AN1500 NVMe SSD add-in-card is now available for purchase or preorder.
