There's a particular lyric to a song play on your mind, but you don't remember the name of the album. Spotify has you covered. The company just introduced a new feature that will allow users to search for a song's particular title based on the lyrics.

How the new feature function is pretty straightforward. Simply type the lyric’s into the search bar, and the matching songs will surface. Lin Wang, who's the app's designer, displayed the feature on Twitter.

Spotify's feature is similar Shazam app; instead of typing the lyric in a search box, the microphone on a smartphone or computer's built-in microphone gathers brief sample audio while finding a match. The same search feature has been on Apple Music since 2018. This feature is undoubtedly a welcome addition to Spotify. I can't tell you how many times my mind is stomped, trying to figure out a title to certain songs based on lyrics.

Another Apple Music inspired feature Spotify added is real-time lyrics provided by Musixmatch to 26 markets, which was added to the app this past June. Spotify is available for Android and iOS.
