This week's "hardware pick of the week" goes to AMD Ryzen 3 3300X and 3100. You can't go wrong with either processor from the Zen 2 lineup, which will offer high performance no matter the PC tasks.

The Ryzen 3 3300X has four processing cores with 8-Threads. A 3.8GHz base clock, 4.3GHz boost clock, while having a respectable amount of L2/L3 cache, 2MB, and 16MB. Priced at just $120 Then there's the Ryzen 3 3100, it has a 3.6GHz base clock, a 4.3 boost clock, having the same amount of processor cores and threads, four and eight. The retail price will go for $99.

You can't go wrong with any AMD Ryzen 3000 series desktop processor. All give you a bang for the gigahertz performance. The question you're probably asking upon reading this article is can you build a gaming system using these CPUs? The answer is yes. In the past, I have constructed gaming systems using low tier processors and achieved excellent performance.

Now, if you plan on pushing the boundaries of overclocking, then you're going to need a quality aftermarket CPU cooler. For these particular processors, my recommendation would be to purchase the Corsair H60 all-in-one liquid cooler. For the CPU air cooler, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is the best choice, especially if you're building a budget system.
