Dell unveils three new monitors featuring a Microsoft Teams button
Topic: video remote displays
In the next three months, Dell will be launching three new monitors, and all of them will have an exciting feature, a Microsoft Teams button. After certifying webcams and headsets last year, Dell claims it will create the "world's first videoconferencing monitors certified for Microsoft Teams. These three monitors will be available next month; all will offer quick access to Microsoft Teams.
It's a simple function; push the button, and Microsoft Teams will allow users to launch the app quickly. You can then make or receive video calls. The app also supports hands-free commands via Cortana voice assistant and the built-in microphone.
The three new monitors from Dell will be the first of their kind to have a Microsoft Teams button. Some new existing headphones have already been integrated with Teams since last year, as stated earlier. Usage of the app has soared since the onset of the pandemic.
The Teams button is certainly a surprise; Dell's three videoconferencing monitors have impressive specs designed explicitly for a time when remote work and video calls are societal norms. Each monitor features a 5-megapixel pop-up infrared camera, which supports facial recognition with Windows Hello. Dell also includes a noise-canceling microphone and dual 5-watt integrated speakers. There's also a built-in mode to reduce blue light emission.
Dell will launch a 24-inch (FHD) model retailing for $519.99, a 27-inch (QHD) model for $719.99, and a curved 34-inch (WQHD) model for $1,149.99. Launching dates for all three monitors will be on February 16th.
