Software Update: NVIDIA updates GeForce NOW Bringing Significant Upgrades to M1 Mac Gamers

NVIDIA has just announced a significant software update to GeForce NOW that will enable Mac users to engage in high-end gaming across the entire Apple ecosystem.

The latest update will allow Mac owners to play even the most visually stunning video games such as Crysis through GeForce NOW. In addition, they are adding Priority membership and the newest tier GeForce NOW RTX 3080 membership.

Often staunch gamers who owned Macs faced the challenging task of playing well-known gaming titles. For Mac users, the updated version of NVIDIA GeForce NOW will eliminate the need for a console or even a gaming PC. Instead, stream your favorite games from a Mac, just as long as the game has GeForce NOW support. In addition, the streaming service will allow users to game across any Apple device, including MacBook Air, iMac, and current iOS devices.

Nvidia GeForce NOW can save and store your entire game data to a cloud server, even when switching from remastered games on a desktop system such as an iMac to an iPhone.

If you currently own an M1 variant MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, the best deal you should consider is the six-month membership RTX 3080 tier. Users can play at a native resolution up to 1600p for eight hours. If you decide to choose RTX 3080 tier or Priority tier, users will still have access to RTX ON feature play games such as Cyberpunk 2077 in actual real-time ray tracing without the need for a gaming PC.

The GeForce NOW subscription-based streaming service pricing goes as follows; the free tier will give users standard 1-hour session access to its server. The Priority tier option is $49.99 for six months delivering RTX capabilities with full priority access to servers for a six-hour session; for $99, the RTX 3080 tier will give users exclusive access to game servers for eight hours. Priority access will provide you with a 1080p resolution at 60 GPS, while the 3080-class server option will give you up to 1440p resolution at 120 FPS on both the PC and Mac. Shield TV users, as an option, you access to 3080 servers delivering up to 4K resolution.

Apple gamers have the option of gaming without leaving the Apple ecosystem. NVIDIA GeForce NOW is the best option for anyone with a PC that can handle resource-intensive games or play games on mobile devices.
