Sony News : New Color Optipns For PS5 Faceplates From Sony

Finally, we have new custom covers for the PS5 from Sony. The console covers will come in various colors, black, red, pink, blue, and purple, fitted for regular PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. Sony will be releasing the black and red console covers starting in January in most markets where the PS5 is sold. In addition, Sony will release other color options first half of 2022.

Now you will have covers and DualSense with matching color schemes, pink, blue, and purple. The new colors will be available in January, with the purple version sold in UK, USA, and Germany through Sony's PlayStation direct program. Retailers will stock the Dual purple controller on February 11th.

Sony also plans to offer PS5 black covers on January 21st at the PlayStation direct online store, available at other retailers on February 18th. So far, Sony has not revealed retail prices for their PS5 covers.

Sony's announcement of its new console covers comes right off the heels of its legal battle with several third-party companies that sold black faceplates. One of those companies is DBrand, which was forced to pull its custom design faceplates and replace them with a new design days later.
