This is a First: LG Reveals Its Very First Gaming Laptop

LG has officially announced its first gaming laptop, the Ultra Gear 17G90Q. The laptop measures 17-inches with top-notch hardware, including an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics chip, configurable memory up to 32GB, and 1TB of storage.

LG is a reputable company that manufacturers high-quality products, from washing machines to TVs and laptops. However, venturing into a gaming space is entirely new for the company.

The Ultra Gear 17G90Q is equipped with the RTX 3080, the fastest GPU in the entire laptop product line. Other noted specs are a 1080 IPS display with a 300Hz refresh rate, 93Wh battery, an RGB keyboard, an actual fingerprint sensor embedded right on the power button, and a 1080p webcam. In addition, the laptop outer shell is made of aluminum which has a purplish-gray color scheme.

LG's official gaming laptop comes with a bevy of external ports. It has a microSD card slot, a headphone jack, two USB-C ports, two USB - A ports, HDMI port, Ethernet port.

The 17G90Q currently does not have a price tag; LG is expected to announce more details at CES on Jan 4th. The gaming laptop will make its market debut in the US first and South Korea in early 2022.
