Aduro 40W 6-Port USB Charging Hub Review

Aduro 40W 6-Port USB Charging Hub Review

You won't find USB charging hubs the topic of conversation in regards to technology. Yet, it's the most utilized device around, especially if you have several devices that require charging. These days, many tech enthusiasts like myself travel around with a plethora of gadgets. So a USB charging hub is needed.

I recently purchased the Aduro 6-port charging hub mainly because my other charging hub decided to stop functional. Of course, when gadgets come across this studio, it's put through a series of tests. Was the charging hub worth the purchase? Find out in this review.

Firstly, a few bits of advice in case any of you readers are in the process of buying a multi-port USB charger. Ensure the brand you're targeting has four or more ports since you likely have three or more devices that need charging. Also, I strongly recommend getting a charger that outputs at least 40 or more Watts of power, and it features Smart Charge technology.

The Audro 6-port USB charger hub features a Smart Charge technology that automatically detects which device is being connected and will provide adequate charging speed. The charger offers 40 Watts of power and compatible with most iOS and Android devices charging via USB. Thus far, there are no noticeable performance glitches. The USB charging hub is functioning quite well, and, as expected, my devices charge to full capacity. Equally impressive is how fast some of my devices charge—a testament to 40 Watts of power supplied with the charger.

Regarding design, the Audro 6-port USB charger closely resembles an art deco design building, much different from the USB charging hubs I've purchased in the past. The charging hub comes in various color schemes, twelve color options to be exact. The material used for the outer shell is made of plastic. Mines, in particular, has a gloss black finish. My preference would have been to use a more structurally sound material for the outer shell, say, aluminum. In my opinion, plastic on any device doesn't have a premium feel.

Surprisingly, the USB charging hub is light in weight, which is detrimental to the device; let me explain. Cables connected to all 6- ports will weigh down the charging hub causing it to tilt over slightly. To combat this problem, I had to tie-wrap the USB cables, which shortened the cable's length. Thus, preventing it from tilting.

So I gave you my take on the Aduro USB charging hub; the question is, should you buy it? Yes. The options on the market are plentiful, with some better than the one profiled in this review. But if you're looking to stay within a $20 budget or less, then the Aduro charging hub is a must buy. Currently, you can purchase an Aduro USB 6-port charging hub from Amazon, retailing for $19.99.
