Windows 11 Driver With DLSS is Being Released From Nvidia Supporting 100 Games
Today, Nvidia has just released a brand new display driver that will add DLSS, an acronym of Deep Learning Super Sampling. It will support 28 gaming titles and is certified for both Windows 10 and the upcoming Windows 11 operating system. Adding 28 DLSS games will up the total to more than 100 games, impacting Nvidia's AI-based temporal upscaling. DLSS takes games from lower resolution providing a much smoother frame rate without compromising image quality.
Most DLSS additives are courtesy of the Unreal Engine 4 DLSS plugin, making it easy for any developer to integrate DLSS into its games. The new game title Alan Wake Remastered officially will ship with DLSS support in the coming month. Nvidia has made promises that up to 2x performance boost at 4K. Every GeForce RTX GPU will get over 60fps at max settings, while in 4K, DLSS is enabled. Graphic cards such as the RTX 2080 Ti can go on average 70fps to 120fps, as told by Nvidia.
Gaming studios such as Industria will be releasing the driver on Sept 30th. It will include DLSS support, right alongside support for any new Nvidia DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), an AI-based anti-aliasing mode on Elder Scrolls Online test servers. According to Nvidia, DLSS is designed solely "for users who have spare GPU headroom and want higher levels of image quality." Similar to DLSS, the only difference is it boosts image quality.
Currently, Nvidia will also include Windows 11 support, optimizing Alan Wake Remastered, Deathloop, Diablo 2: Resurrected, Far Cry 6, Hot Wheels Unleased.
