Let’s talk about Leveno new 49-inch curved monitor the competitive answer to Samsung Odyssey G9
I never thought I would see another 49-inch monitor like Samsung's Odyssey G9. It's a one-of-a-kind curved monitor that is huge and overloaded with features you can't imagine. But competition is about to get heated because has just unveiled their new Think Vision P49w-30 ultra-wide dual QHD display. Much like the Odyssey G9, it's a massively curved display featuring 5120 x 1440 resolution. However, the unique edge goes to Leveno here, as the monitor can daisy-chain two or more displays, offering users a full panoramic view.
Lenovo followed the path of Samsung when it launched its Odyssey G9 display in 2021. However, although Lenovo is late to dance with its large display version, its P49w-30 curved monitor has more compelling features. Firstly, the display comes with a 2000:1 contrast ratio thanks partly to its IPS Black technology that will offer viewers deeper blacks and vibrant colors.
The Leveno ThinkVision P49w-30 monitor has a 3800R curved radius, supporting up to a 60Hz refresh rate, with a 350 nits peak brightness.
Like the Odyssey G9, the massive display can be adjusted with a max lift of 155mm, a tilt of 5 / 23.5 degrees, and a swivel of 45 degrees. However, P49w-30 can't be flipped into a vertical portrait mode position, unlike its Samsung competitor.
The monitor features Leveno's eKVM and True Split. This lets you connect to and toggle between two PC sources and have a hardware-based partition that splits the monitor into two. This allows users to have different aspect ratios and settings for each half. In addition, the ThinkVision P49w-30 comes with a bevy of external ports that includes two Thunderbolt TM 4 ports w that can deliver up to 100W power and a front-facing USB-C port with a 15W capable of fast charging.
The Lenovo ThinkVision P49w-30 market availability will be in June 2023, pending a retail price of $1,699.
