We have the world's first 4K 144Hz mini LED gaming laptop from MSi
We're starting to see many companies unveil their products just ahead of CES 2023. But no company is gaining traction from their pre-CES reveal than MSI as they have revealed their next-generation gaming laptop with a stunning 17.3-inch display. A Titan GT77 upgrade, with the world's first mini LED gaming laptop that packs 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
There are several advantages of having a mini LED over the widely used LED backlighting technology, and that’s brightness. First, the densely packed LED bulbs illuminate more light, resulting in over 1000 nits peak brightness. That is more brightness than most typical laptops on the market. For example, most gaming laptops max out at 300 nits peak brightness.
Another advantage of having a mini LED is the precise control over which specific parts of images are illuminated, reducing the dreaded halo effect or also known as blooming. The halo effect is when light from a bright object spills directly into the surrounding area—the MSI Titan GT77 combat against blooming with an ultra-bright display. However, OLED technology is preferred because of its individual illuminated pixels.
Thus far, MSI hasn't confirmed the laptop's hardware specifications. However, I'm betting the company will outfit the gaming laptop with the best hardware money can buy, which may include the RTX 40 series GPU and Intel's Core i9-13900HK CPU. For the record, the current MSI GT77 Titan retails $2,600. You should expect more leaks and rumors leading up to CES 2023. Stay tuned.
