AMD Releases a Radeon RX 6000 Series Driver Promising Up To 24 Percent Performance Boost
It's normal to download drivers and it winds up enhancing hardware performance. So when reports came out, the new AMD Radeon GPU Driver will deliver a significant performance boost; it shouldn't come as a shock to anyone.
The new driver is easily accessible, specifically for the Radeon RX 6000 series, boosting overall performance. However, there is a caveat: the performance boost applies to gaming laptops paired with AMD's Ryzen processors with mobile GPUs. In addition, the performance boost depends solely on the game and settings the user is running.
AMD's Smart Access Memory (SAM) is embedded in the component optimized for the latest Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.2.2 driver package. Better known as Resizable BAR, SAM is AMD's proprietary PCI Express feature that allows the CPU and system to access the entire pool of GPU memory rather than cap it to 256MB.
AMD promises up to a 24 percent boost in Assasin's Creed Valhalla at 1080p Ultra settings on SAM-enabled laptops with Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and Radeon RX 6800 GPU dual operation.
