Intel has just put a launch date ( April 5th) on the Core i9-12900KS Processor
Intel recently posted a tweet entailing a launch of their new flagship processor, Core i9-12900KS, priced at $799, briefly listed on the Newegg website. The price is significantly higher than the Core i9-12900K with a $599 MSRP (Amazon's current listed price is $610).
According to reports, before Intel announced a release date, some consumers managed to get their hands on the Core i9-12900KS in a full retail format.
Regarding performance, the Core i9-12900KS is considered to be the world’s fastest processor, much faster than the 12900K. Having a 5.5 GHz boost clock speed with an all-core turbo frequency of 5.2GHz. However, reports show that the core frequency on the Core i9-12900KS is only 11% higher in the multi-threaded Geekbench 5 test and just a 4% performance boost for the single-core test, primarily due to unoptimized BIOS. But in comparison to Ryzen 9 5950X, it is much faster, according to a posted Cinebench R23 test.
