Apple prepares to ship 95 million iPhone14, expecting a high consumer demand
We are in August, and it's around this time of year when tech companies launch their flagship devices and hardware. In particular, Apple, which will hold its annual event next month and is expected to reveal the iPhone 14. This just in, there are reports that Apple has asked suppliers to increase shipments to 95 million units for 2022, anticipating high consumer demand for the next-generation flagship smartphone.
According to published reports, an 5 percent increase in Apple's supply chain is expected due to one main reason. Apple will likely not launch the "mini" iPhone 14 model as scheduled. Instead, Apple, later this year, will launch four models. The following are the entry-level iPhone 14, followed by the iPhone 14 Max, the premium iPhone Pro, and the top-end, most expensive option, iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Keep in mind that the current state of the global economy is unstable due to rising inflation, which may curtail consumer spending. Therefore, undoubtedly affect the choices regarding smartphone upgrades. Even the mid-tier iPhone option costs nearly $1000.
Still and all, Apple will aggressively proceed with its mission to ship a significant number of iPhone 14s before the end of the year.
Despite the economy bordering on a recession, I still expect a record number of consumers will upgrade to the iPhone 14. On a side note, several Apple insiders have stated that the iPhone 14 launch date would be much earlier than expected, Sept 6th.
