The Jiushark Diamond JF13K is the oddest looking CPU cooler I've ever seen, let's talk about it
When I say odd, I don't disparage the Jiushark Diamond JF13K CPU cooler. It's just that this is my first time seeing a top-down cooler. By the way, Jiushark is a Chinese manufacturer that specializes in hardware cooling apparatuses. Their newly launched CPU cooler has an expansive 240mm radiator directly strapped to the CPU.
I'm more amazed at what this CPU cooler can do regarding cooling. But I will address that later on in this post. So firstly, let's look at the key features. The CPU cooler has dual 120mm fans, seven heat pipes, aRGaB illumination, and a substantial finned radiator.
Now let's address the JF13K capabilities; according to tests, the CPU cooler kept an Intel Core i9-11900K functional at 85 degrees Celsius or lower while under heavy workload with a CPU using 217W. An impressive feat, considering the CPU has a reputation for running very hot under intense loads.
As mentioned in this post, Jiushark's cooling system operates from the top down; the 120mm fans are thin, measuring just 15mm. The fans are attached to a contoured shaped fin constructed out of aluminum; the heatsink has seven aluminum and copper-plated heat-dissipation pipes.
Although this is a top-down CPU cooler, the question is whether there is enough room for installation. This CPU cooler is considerably lengthy, at 241mm x 120mm. But according to Jiushark, they claim the heatsink is contoured, so there is enough clearance for other motherboard components, such as RAM modules and I/O shields. They promise 59mm RAM clearance; on the other side, there is a 50mm height clearance. The company also claims twin fans can blow air through the cooler overhanging structure. That same circulated air from the fans can cool the RAM and other components on the motherboard, shaving off 20 degrees Celsius.
The Jiushark Diamond JF13K has "push-down installation" features, compatible with Intel LGA 1700, 1200, and 115X and AMD AM2, AM4, and AM5 systems. According to the posted images on their website, color options are black or white. Currently, the CPU cooler is only available in China; no word if it will be available in US retail outlets.
