Apple will add a new concert-finding feature to Maps and Music
Here's an innovation for you, Apple is launching a new concert discovery feature in its Maps and Music apps, making it simple for users to locate shows in your area. In addition, Apple is adding a Set List section within the app's Browse tab, allowing users to view artists’ upcoming shows and view set lists across their tours.
As for Apple Maps, it's getting over 40 curated guides that will highlight the best music venues worldwide. For example, Apple states the feature can range from Viennese symphony halls to techno clubs in Brooklyn. In addition, the feature lets users browse through upcoming shows at every venue right from Maps, exclusively for major cities worldwide, including New York City, Tokyo, Pair, London, Chicago, and others.
These two features will integrate and use Shazam's concert discovery module, offering a list of upcoming concerts from the artist's page.
Spotify, the go-to streaming app I can't live without, will also feature a concert discovery; you can even purchase tickets directly from Spotify. But, of course, this feature has always been in place by Apple, connecting third-party ticket-selling sites to Ticketmaster—Apple device users who want to use this new feature in Maps and Apple; check the app store for further updates.
