Wyze launches Cam Floodlight Pro that lights up when recognizing people and vehicles

I'm all too familiar with Wyze products on the market. Notably, the company is known for producing high-quality, reasonably priced security cameras. I myself have two Wyze security cameras that overlook the Tekspecz studio. Adding to their variable product line, Wyze has just announced the all-new Cam Floodlight Pro, a security camera with integrated lighting and object sensors that will serve as the next-generation device to the current Wyze Cam Floodlight. Retailing for $149.99, the Cam Floodlight Pro features a QHD 1440p camera, an upgrade from a past generation 1080p camera, featuring a 180-degree field of view that will reduce blind spots.

The company (Wyze) states its new AI "computer vision" can accurately detect any movement at great distances and even recognize selected objects by users, avoiding moving tree branches that can trigger lights and notification alerts. As an option, users can activate the lights and notifications only when individuals and cars are detected. In addition, the Wyze camera can also capture subjects in both color night vision in low light conditions and full infrared night vision, especially in dimly lit areas.

Cam Floodlight Pro features three LED panels that can be dimmed and provide up to 3,000 lumens of illumination. In addition, it includes a dusk-to-dawn automation that automatically activates (on/ off) based on available daylight and features a new ambient lighting mode. When activated, the floodlight remains in a dim light setting until it detects any motion nearby and will increase brightness levels automatically.

Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro has continuous local recording, which users can store on a 256GB microSD card. In addition, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi, which includes 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless connectivity. Furthermore, users can view live-stream video feeds via the Wyze app. The Cam Floodlight Pro has an IP65 water protection rating, and power requirements are a hardwire connection for the device to operate thoroughly.

The Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro will be available in two color schemes, black or white. Consumers can now pre-order the white version via the Wyze website for immediate shipping. As for the black version, it will be available on either June 27th or July 11th.
