Schools are now able to quickly get take down students Instagram posts

Instagram and schools have partnered to prioritize moderation reports submitted by verified school accounts. The goal is to allow schools to report posts or student accounts that may violate Instagram's terms of service, such as any individual involved in bullying or reckless behavior. These reports will be reviewed, and schools will be notified of any actions taken.

The program is available to most middle high schools in the U.S. School participants display a "school partner" banner on their profiles. Instagram has provided resources for collaborating institutions to use the app safely.

Since last year, Instagram has tried to get ahead of the Online Child Safety Legislation (the Kids Off Social Media Act), which seeks to ban social media access for kids under 13. Last year, Instagram placed teen users into private accounts and began implementing AI to scan users who might lie about their age. Instagram also partnered with a nonprofit organization, Childhelp, which has developed a specific curriculum that teaches middle school attendees to be conscious of online sextortion scams and grooming.
