Apple Releases an Update For iOS 14 Addressing Bug Fixes For Default Settings and More
A few days ago, I published a post entailing the iOS 14 default app bug. As expected, Apple addressed the issue with their latest update, iOS 14.1. The update addresses several issues, but the one glitch that had everyone gripe via social media is the default app setting bugs. When you set third-party apps such as email and web browsers as default, when you reboot your device, it reverts to Apple default apps.
The iOS 14.1 update fixes the following; addressing the issue that could prevent previews from displaying on the iPhone 7and 7 Plus. Fixes problems that could prevent your iPhone from connecting to a Wi-Fi network, resolve an issue that could stop sending an email with a mail provider, and finally addressed issues that could prevent images from appearing in the News widget.
Apple just rolled out this update to all iPhone users; you can access the update via Settings and then choose Software Update. By the time this post is published, the update notification should appear on your iPhone. Or you probably installed the update.
