NVIDIA's WHQL 456.55 GeForce GPU Update Will Enhance Call of Duty Performance
If you're currently playing Call of duty via PC and are using the RTX 30 series graphics card, then prepare yourself for a significant Game Ready driver update for GeForce GPUs (WHQL 456.65). Featuring Reflex support for the latest COD titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, right along with optimization of Star Wars: Squadrons. The company states the driver update quote: " improves stability in certain games on RTX 30 series GPU".
Keep in mind the RTX 3080 graphic card alone is the most sought after hardware around, so you're fortunate to have this card in your system provided that you don't have capacitor issues, more on that in a later post.
The star feature in this driver is the Reflex support of Modern Warfare and Warzone. Users will benefit from low latency responses during gameplay. With the Reflex feature, popular mid-range cards, such as the GeForce RTX 1660, gamers can expect a 33 percent improvement in PC response times. According to NVIDIA, if you're using an RTX 3080 along with a 360Hz G Sync, gamers can "expect the lowest latency possible."
Latency measures the delay in specific actions and responses, causing a delayed hit confirmation during gaming, resulting in wasted ammunition. Latency also plays an essential role in how long it takes to click a mouse or press the keyboard.
The primary advantage of using Reflex technology is to enable rapid response to the enemy with games that support it. Games will not be the only ones getting Reflex support; it will be implemented in high-speed 360Hz G-Sync monitors. Reflex will function with all mice, but specific branded models such as Asus, Logitech, and Razer have implemented full peripheral latency and complete end-to-end system latency when wholly connected to a supported monitor.
