There are two factors you should look for in air coolers. Firstly the cooler should maintain a stable temperature in a CPU and, secondly reduce noise. SilentiumPC new Fortis 5 and Fortis 5 Dual CPU cooler fits the mold and should be included in your next PC build.

SilentiumPC is a new player in the heatsink market, products such as Fera 5 and Fera 5 Dual garnered positive reviews. Much like the Fera variants, potential users can choose between one or two fans, the heatsinks being the same with both models. The Fortis 5 comes with a Fluctus 140mm fan, while the Fortis 5 Dual includes Fluctus 120mm. Both fans are set to spin from 300- 1400 RPM.

The top RPM speed is low, which means the emphasis is on acoustic levels. However, published tests show that the single and dual-fan produce a 39 dBA operating at 100% while keeping the CPU temperature stable.

Fortis 5 and Fortis 5 Dual retail for just $50. You can find a full in-depth review of the heatsinks on the KitGuru website.
